FAR EAST SCUBA INSTITUTE INC. (F.E.S.I.) is originally known as Philippine Sports Scuba Institute (PSSI), founded by Mr. Victor G. Baldovia, a Master SCUBA Diving Instructor in 1989. PSSI was originally registered and licensed in Puerto Princesa, Palawan located at Meara Marina Island Resort in Honda Bay Puerto Princesa. 

In October 1990 the Owner transfer and register FAR EAST SCUBA INSTITUTE in Boracay Island. From its first dive center in Balabag (adjacent to Friday’s Beach Resort). Back up by its marketing office in Manila, FESI from its 25 years of operation from Boracay became one of the leading dive shop in the island.  FESI achieved a tremendous growth having built its own 2-storey building located in the middle of the Long Beach and a new (survey) dive boat.  With FESI as dive training center facilities, we are certifying an average of 200 students every year and servicing an average of 60 divers a month.

 

FAR EAST SCUBA INSTITUTE has become a Professional Association of Diving Instructor (PADI) DIVE CENTER member with PADI #18718 and member of PADI International Resort Association in 1994.  It has now 85 SCUBA diving cylinders and 20 complete set of diving equipment (Regulators, BCDs, Suits, Mask, Fins and Snorkel of current models).  FESI has consolidated all its support services and expanded its operation, thus forming the new FAR EAST SCUBA INSTITUTE - SCUBATECH, and it has opened its main office at John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation building, Molo, Iloilo City in 1997.  However, sometime in November of 2009, its office has transferred to its own building at #91 Nisa Road, Brgy. Veterans Village, Iloilo City, Philippines 5000.
