Backed-up by his experience and his continuous quest for excellence in service Mr. Victor G. Baldovia have succeeded to realize his vision of creating a complete diving services with technical and professionally trained Divemaster. Mr V. Baldovia have trained all the FESI Professional Diving staff.  His career in SCUBA Diving started back 1978 when he was first certified by the US Navy Corps of Engineering SCUBA Instructor, Mr. Richard Dick Magune.  Since then, his diving experience expanded dramatically due to his employment with the HBH Company.  a joint venture of Hughes Aircraft Co., the Bendex  Corp. and Holmes and Narver Co., all of USA under contract to the US Navy on an Augmentation Program, Facilities Operation & Maintenance of the Royal Saudi Naval Base in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.  His 10 years experience in working abroad enable him to acquire a vast knowledge and experience that make him technically and professionally sound to make his own company.   His teaching career in SCUBA diving started in 1989 when he was certified as SCUBA Instructor by Mr. Tim Aucshion, a retired U.S. Navy Officer assigned in Subic U.S. Naval Base in the Philippines.  To this date he had certified about 1,500 or more divers of different nationalities.  Mr. Baldovia’s affiliation with the Professional Association of Diving Instructor (with International Head Quarter in Sta. Ana California, U.S.A.) had given him all the opportunities of training of which to this date he is Certified Master SCUBA Diving Instructor and a member of the International Review Committee of P.A.D.I. Said to be a well-rounded person, Mr. Baldovia deals with his client professionally and religiously.

 

THE COMPANY’S SUBSIDIARIES AND ITS SERVICES OFFERED

 

• FESI EDUCATION AND TRAINING DEPARTMENT has established a  (M.O.A.) Memorandum of Agreement tie-up with the John B. Lacson College Foundation Maritime College in 1997, teaching SCUBA diving courses as substitute for the Physical Education (PE) of the Maritime College Associates courses and Baccalaureate Degree courses such as BSME, BSCSM and BSMT.

 

It is also the first SCUBA dive center in the city of Iloilo, offering the PADI training and certification courses from the Open Water Diver Certification to Assistant Instructor Course.  It also offers specialty courses such as Underwater Search and Recovery, Underwater Video and Photography, Underwater Research course and more.

 

Far East Scuba Institute (FESI) with its new Scuba Shop the Iloilo Scuba Diving Center have continually trained scuba divers, more particularly that of Local Government Agency which aim to train their officers for the monitoring and protection of their marine environment, particularly the coral reef. To present FESI have trained not less than 1,500 student of various level of diver certification.

 

• SCUBA TOURS AND TRAVEL, continue to service its divers need in the tourism industry through its Hotel and Resort room reservation, Airline and other transport reservation, Dive package travel as well as to other foreign and local tourist travel requirements in the country.

• The SCUBATECH Commercial Diving Services, continue to become known and popular in its high technical and professional services in the field of Hydrographic Survey, Underwater  Videography,  Underwater Constructions, Installation of Submarine Pipelines, Submarine Power Cable Installation, Repair and  Marine Resource Survey and has completed some of the following major project.
